Open Question: How do I keep snails out of my fish tank?

and don't say clean your tank seeing I pure it according to a week ago and its a lot of pains to vacant it out and fill it back up. How do I keep them out? I have a 29 gallon freshwater aquarium. How do I get rid of them and keep them from coming back? I keep getting these little snails in there, formerly they multiply and before I have it I have 20 or more. Open Question: ok, is my tank ok? am i missing something? they seem happy and healthy... i have a 3 gallon tank with five guppies, and one insufficient algae eater. i dont be versed what my algae eater is signaled, but i have had one before and it did not grow ancient history an inch longish, and i had it for 2 second childhood. 2 plants 1 rock they can hide inside, 1 inch of aquarium gravel, an air pump, a filter, a thermometer and a heater. i have ich/ick/white spot medicine, antibacterial remedy, aquarium salt, ph tests(my ph is 7.6), ph decrease, water conditioner, and a 1 gal sick tank(with plants and gravel). are my fish in proper living conditions? i do have a net, my plants are plastic. am i missing anything? i have betta, goldfish, and tropical fish food. my tank dosent look spent stalked...
